So... there is a technical difference between a bloom and a flower?
It is just a matter of speaking. I have never heard anyone call anything from the garden a flower unless it is from a flower garden.

You can call all flowers in a flower garden flowers. "Hey, look at those pretty flowers"

You don't look down at your veggie or fruit garden and say "Hey, look at those flowers"

You might however say "Hey, those tomatoes and squash are blooming"

Here I was assuming you had a scientific basis for the difference but it's more of a regional thing. Got it
