Thanks! You too!!
Cost of living is just higher in some areas. They don’t necessarily make a better wage. Sometimes the pay is better to offset the added expense but a good bit of time the pay for certain occupations is the same no matter where you are. It is kind of a mix, I think.Yeah I don’t think we have any up here
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. And prices have gone way up too. In ‘96 my parents bought our old house for less than $300,000. Now they just sold it last year for almost $900,000. It’s a little over 2,000 sq ft. But it also has almost 3 acres. The land is worth a lot here. But still. People are paying millions for houses on a post stamp lot too.Cost of living is just higher in some areas. They don’t necessarily make a better wage. The cost of owning a home varies greatly for example. Take a 2000 sq. Ft house here new or in new condition you are going to pay $200,000 and right now probably closer 300k or more because prices are really up. They are starting to come back down because the market is slowed because of high interest rates. Anyway, that is another story. So, if you take the same house and move it to some parts of the country like California it is worth idk couple million or more. Even if you take it to some parts of the state here it can go up or down some.
There is just not that big of a difference in wages for the middle class across the nation to make up that expense.
Sure wish I could sell mine for $900k. I would have to throw a party to celebrateYeah that makes a lot of sense. And prices have gone way up too.
