Who do you trust with your data?

Google or Apple?

How much data are they really collecting? And what are they doing with it?

Well, I did some digging and the results are shocking.

Google is collecting 39 data points on each user while Apple is only collecting 12, Facebook collects just 2 more data points than Apple! Why does everybody hate Facebook again?

I don't pay for it though. And it's not Apple😁
I don't pay for it either. I get 5gb free with Apple. I download my pictures to computers and to external hard drives and then delete off of my phone after awhile, so I never go over the 5gb. And, I say 5gb, but it may be more that Apple gives you free. But, anyway, by doing this I really only keep my contacts on Cloud so if my phone breaks, gets lost, or whatever they will restore to a new phone.

I don't really like any of the 3 being Google, Apple, or Microsoft. I use all 3 for things and some of the same things. You have to use at least one unless you are completely off the grid, which would probably be a good thing to be.

I just like the Iphone better from my experience, but there is nothing really wrong with an Android. I used Android for years until my kids decided to buy me an Apple for my birthday one year and I ended up liking it and stayed with it.

One thing is that there seem to be more people that use Apple so it makes group texting easier. But, now that is not as important because you have so many group chatting Apps like Whatsapp. Plus, I read recently that Apple was going to make it so that Android could join group chats with Apple users. I don't know if they have yet, but they are suppose to.

And, there are a couple of other things I like that are also not as important now. I actually use my phone as pay as I go. I am nearly always connected to a wifi and if you text another Apple phone it would not use your text that you had available. It would if you text to or from an Android. Again, more people use Apple so that was a good thing to have. But, even that is not as important to me since my provider now gives me unlimited text and calls for as low as I was paying for just buying what I needed. I only pay about $15 a month for my phone usage. I hate to waste money. I don't know if a dollar saved is a dollar earned as it is said, but it certainly is a fact that a dollar saved is a dollar saved. Can't argue with that.

I think they do allow Androids to join group texts now or actually I know they do because I’m in one with an Android user, maybe two Android users lol

sms/MMS is fine. rcs is still a work in progress for appl. I have group chats with my fam and the ONLY problem we have is appl refusing to support rcs causing images and videos that look like they were taken at 20 dpi on a mushy potato. Appl is finally getting on the wagon about rcs after years fighting it.

Ohhhhhhh okay that makes sense!

How much memory does the Android have? Genuine question because I have never once run out of space with my iPhone but I’ve had friends run out of space with their Samsungs. So idk if maybe they’ve changed it and included more space now???? Apple allows you to put things in the ā€œCloudā€ too so you’re not taking up as much space.
