Back when I worked retail, we had a year-round jar candle display. My boss and several of my coworkers would call the scents "flavors" and it would drive me nuts. Sounds like everybody goes around sampling candles

Maybe they actually do . . . . never know what some people might do, ourselves included, when we think no one is watching.

Heck, If you can't ever decide on a name, just look up names that start with 'letters' and read what the names originally mean. That's what I do for my characters

My husband really wanted to come up with a Z name for one of the girls but we couldn't find one that worked. He liked Zoe a lot which I wasn't crazy about but I also didn't hate it so if he loved it I would have been OK with it. But he didn't like how popular it was so we didn't use it.

Friends got a kid named Zoe but his wife is from Serbia and apparently it's pretty common there. Not like those new wave names like naming a girl "pond Lilly flying rabbit bird" or Lilly for short

I guess one day classical names will come back. Try to picture your kid's name in "Well mr/ms. ***** *****, why would you like this job?" Or "Our Nominee for President, ****** *******."
Some of these names today sound like Y'all spilled a Scrabble game out on the floor.
