I'm off until Jan 3rd, but there's no down time. I've got grading and planning to do (that's a constant), I'm still fundraising, and there are always lots - LOTS - of things to do here.

My mom finally finished all the grading for her classes. She's still working on planning though

The goose was good yesterday. I used Gorgon Ramsay's honey and 5 spice Chinese powder recipe. I definitely preferred the butter under the skin recipe I used last year, but this was still good. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/gordons-christmas-roast-goose/amp

i’m never truly “off” so it’s all relative, but i love any stretch of time where i don’t have to go to the office or travel.

id much rather be home with my family than working.

I get a lot of vacation time but I still have to be disciplined enough to save 4 days for the week between Christmas and New Years. That gives me an 11 day break plus any extra vacation I managed to not take over the year.

I might be adopting a couple of geese who were dumped, but idk. I have the room and all of that, but I have to think about it some more. They are big girls, so I could potentially free range them during the day and house them in the existing coop at night.
