Mom calls him Beast. he's a nice boy so far but still a cockerel. He's an Australorp.

Yes, indeed. These are duck eggs, remember? Of course that one's the most dirty and the one he's sending photos of.

I did remember. I hate setting dirty eggs. I'm always afraid they'll do an explode. lol I usually give the ducks a jumbo kitty litter box with hay. They keep them pretty clean.

Hm. The litter box is a good idea. They get fresh straw in the egg laying corner regularly but it gets messy quick.

I'm teasing you! But I definitely knew he was an Australorp. Built like an Orp, but way to tall. lol

Hm. The litter box is a good idea. They get fresh straw in the egg laying corner regularly but it gets messy quick.

It helps keep their nests dry when I use them. They will float if the nesting area floods though. My geese were not amused. But at least the eggs were dry. lol
