Let us just say that it is an 18. You will want to look at buying a 1.5mm or 2mm. 16 gauge is not too common for a daith, and a 20 gauge would fit a 1.5mm ball end, too. So a 1.5mm is your best bet.

With a 16 gauge you will want at least a 2mm ball end. Do not go bigger than a 3mm, though!
