Lots of rescues now take dogs, get them all fixed up, and ship them up north or out west where there’s less adoptable dogs. You could try to find one if you don’t want to keep him. I’ve seen dogs shot in the jaw or severely burned all over their body recover so surely he can too. I even saw a dog literally hours from death they said, wayyyyyyyy skinnier than him, recover.

our shelters are overflowing. there are plenty of adoptable dogs out west.
