Any advice on brooding in my coop? I'm getting rid of my five ladies this weekend and getting chicks. I feel like it's time to start fresh. I'm hoping to get POL and not worry about brooding but I don't know if that will pan out. So, thoughts from anyone who's brooded outside without a mama hen?

It's really the same as inside, Maybe consider medicated,

I found it easier tbh. And didn’t fill the house with dust lol are you using a heat lamp or something like a MHP or heat plate? I’ve used both MHP and a heat plate from TSC, never used a lamp so I can’t advise on that. I will say though they feather out faster outside.

I use medicated feed for chicks anyways

I have a heat lamp now and just planned on using that. Hubby will make sure it's safe so no fires happen
