Lucky! Did you have to make your snow days up at the end of the year like we did?

We got a certain amount for free then after that we had to make the rest up.
I don't remember how many we got but we usually only had to make up a week's worth, maybe.

Is anyone sending out Christmas cards this year?

I always do

We had a lot of snow days. If we got a good storm we could get an easy 3 or 4 days out.
Small town with many of the kids being in the country.

We had a lot also. We had one whole week off once, we had three feet of snow, it was crazy. We got called off a lot because of the buses, if they couldn't start then they would cancel school. We got five free days then had to make any others up at the end of the year

Ours didn’t cancel very often. Only if the storm was really bad. It had to be like more than a foot or two of snow. Now they cancel for an inch

An inch!? Ours now act like they are run by Texans: If there is a dusting, everyone, STAY HOME OR YOU WILL DIE! People, you are New Englanders. You close the schools for summer, and now you practically close them all through winter. And people wonder why kids are getting dumber.
