Not in December. Does not bode well for summer, and I'd really not like to flirt with 130F as a dare.

Fair enough. I can still get 80 degree days through the rest of the year (albeit few), but I'm more concerned about the bitter cold that I could just as easily get. Our climates are very different.

Eh, we have below freezing nights too. A few every year. But we don't get the humidity with it so the chill that seeps in with it is not anywhere near as bad.

I will give up wearing sandals before I will wear them with socks. When I was younger and stupider I'd wear shorts and sandals until the snow fell. Now I'm usually in Jeans and Vans at 60F.
