They are soooo pretty!!!!!

I have 5 freeloaders that turn 7 mo on the 8/9th of this month..... 2 "should" lay at 6-7 months. The other 3 are 8-9 mo I think but one might lay earlier than that.

I have 5 RIRs. They are 17 weeks. Only one really has much of a comb, at this point. It seems to be getting "redder". I'll have to take new pictures. It's been a couple of weeks.

I've heard that RIR's are wonderful layers! I have one RIR x SLW... and once she started, she was laying almost everyday! I bet they will start in the next couple of weeks. Excited to see pics of your flock

HAAHAA you are funny! I wish she laid today. I think you need to lie to your girls or you are going to have them on strike forever!!!!!!!! Annabelle I am sure is just going to keep playing with my emotions! But she keeps squatting for me! It has now been 3 days since the first squat (but she may have done it before but she doesn't always come up to me and it was crazy a few days before that so I didn't spend much time with them. So hard right now dealing with a puppy and the chickens since the puppy needs eyes on him 24/7 still! LOL
