I'd go ahead and set any eggs with micro cracks
I ended up sealing it with a little candle wax... Im going to put it in the incubator instead of under Blackie so I can keep a close eye! I really don't wanna deal with any splodies LOL

The 22 is the day I collected the egg and the 70 is its weight in grams
I thought so - I love how you labeled them. After I unpacked the eggs, I organized them by age and weight and numbered them 1-13 (oldest to newest) so I can keep tabs on any that seem to have major air cell issues, etc, from shipping. #1 is the one I patched with candle wax. It is unofficially my favorite egg because I love to cheer on an underdog.

Reminder that I'm still eagerly awaiting feedback on that heater pack
Whoops, I knew I left something out! So when the eggs arrived, it was 68F outside. Inside the box before removing foam was 64F and average egg temp was 56F :highfive:

Oh and Annabelle sent me on an egg hunt in the dark tonight. LOL She was in the nest box when we have to leave. We didn't get home until 7ish so of course it was really dark out. So I go out with my flashlight to check the box, nothing.... ok no biggie it must be in the coop where it always is when not in the nest box. I look nothing. so check all around the coop. nothing.... hmmmmm so now have to check around the whole run. start looking in the area I found the other mystery run eggs. don't see anything, check the other area nothing. So then look under the coop in that part of the run (praying it wasn't under there since it is only 2' high) don't see it... take one more quick peek and found it right at the edge of the covered part of the run and the under the coop part of the run, thankfully right at the edge where I could reach it! It was clean and like her normal egg (not like the normal mystery run eggs). No clue WHY it was out there since she had quiet in the coop when in there and she came out normal....
How bizarre! She's a wild girl hahaha

I cant believe you had to roam in the darkness with your flashlight to have a treasure egg hunt. Merry Christmas from Annabelle? :gig

I think she got her Holidays mixed up and thought it was Easter and not Christmas so she was hiding eggs for me.
:lau

Welsh Harlequin eggs have officially been set! I put eggs #1-7 in the incubator, and gave 6 of them (#8-13) to Blackie. She was very pleased with her bounty LOL

So....

Today, at 26 weeks and 5 days old...

Catelyn (Prairie Bluebell Egger) joined the egg laying squad! She is a lovely girl with a hideous voice. I mean, eardrum-ruining, screech-voice. I'm pretty sure that she identifies as a bald eagle. Please disregard her tail, as those are her last feathers coming in from molt.

I caught her hopping into the nest box this morning...

She spent about 45 minutes in there and laid a beautifully blue, 52g egg!

It is really hard to show the color in pics... so here it is with the other eggs from today so far (Nugget finally rejoined the eggspress as well after her 3 month molt LOL...that is her light colored egg with the white speckles!)
