OH MY GOSH!!!

Optimus Prime and Egg #5 have both externally pipped since my last post!!! How will I even leave the incubator's side for the next couple of days now???

Pics taken through the incubator plastic so they might be a little hard to see but it's there!!!

OMG!!!!!!! How exciting and I can see the pips!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see ducklings! Come on babies you can do it! Don't make me wait too long since I have to work tomorrow so can't check for a while! If they aren't here when I go to work I am going to be going NUTS wondering until I can check and see! LOL

That's so exciting!!! Is it a Cayuga egg or WH? I hope it you get a little duckling soon! Remember how fast they grow, mine are already getting sooooo big!!! They grow SO FAST!!!

I keep going over to look at them everytime I think of it, LOL! It can be something like 36-48 hours after that first pip before they hatch... so I wouldn't be too worried about work tomorrow hahaha... they would have to be real overachievers for you to miss anything!

Egg #3 and #11 have joined the pip-party, too!

The cayugas are 2 days behind the welsh babies so they aren't too exciting yet. I see them rockin' around a little but not quite time for pips!

Right now there are 4 WH eggs that have pipped and it's so exciting! How are your babies? I'd love to see a new pic of them

They were peeping at me like crazy as I was prepping them for lockdown/removing the egg turner... it is really so exciting. I can't wait to meet them! I'm patiently awaiting their arrival... but it sure is fun to peek and see progress!

One of them that hasn't pipped yet was just rocking back and forth like it was getting ready for takeoff!

Baby OP is doing great! (S)he made a third pip in line overnight! I was just looking at them and cheering them on and heard many peeps in response. Egg #10 joined the pip-party as well! The eggs that haven't pipped yet are rockin' away and working at it, it seems!

So excited!!!

Also - I have a question for you. Have you had good results sexing from the time of hatch by the bill color? I heard it's pretty accurate with boys having all over darker bills at hatch and girls having only a dark spot near the tip?

I'd bet Optimus Prime wants to hatch on your daughters bday!

Nothing too exciting overnight- Optimus made a 3rd pip, Egg #5 made a 2nd pip and Egg #10 made their first pip! There is a lot of movement and cheeping going on from inside the incubator... I will be sure to update with anything exciting!

I'm feeling much better... I think the baby duck peeping sounds are healing me
