Well, there really doesn't seem any reason to insult our British members here by hurtful remarks about the royals. I don't understand why this is even headed that way. My apologies for any offense on the part of our countrymen. Probably little comfort, but I believe that viewpoint represents a very small number of people here.

Personally, I appreciate your posting the story. It is somewhat comforting to know that even people above our financial station suffer the same problems and frustrations we do. A chicken keeper is a chicken keeper and therefore, welcome here and one of us, I would think and hope. Although still, I am just a "wanna-be."

As for resenting him for being able to pay someone else to care for his birds, I envy him, not resent him, and only wish, when it comes to cleaning a coop or tending chores on muddy, nasty, frigid days, or even super hot 100 degree days, or trying to get away for a weekend or a week, that I would be so fortunate to be able to do the same. Not going to happen but I can wish. How can I resent him for doing what I wish I could do?
