New flock, these are the first babies we've ever hatched from them... gotta see how they turn out... plus we want to split them up for colors too...

He had a Landscape construction business for 30 years in CA. About a year ago we both walked away from our jobs, sold our houses and moved to NM. (Planned for a long time to take this year off.) I'm now working part-time from home, he's climbing the walls.

Although he has done a few jobs in town, he doesn't think he wants to start a business from scratch again. He's putting out some applications now, so we'll see what happens.

OK, so a little update. I candled the eggs this weekend which should've been date 14.

Most of them, even the ones that I could see really well before, had huge dark masses in there. I had a few, that I could see the yolk, but the rest was clear. Then had a couple, that I could still see some veining.

So it looks like, that on Thursday, I will go into lockdown.

I got quail eggs yesterday! Put them on the turner, but won't turn on the heat until Wednesday, so they should hatch over a weekend, so I can watch
