I could not agree with you more. I took it as an attack too. I do recall her saying that she helped BEFORE she was able to read everyones comments. I have seen some amazing saves here at BYC, and although sometimes we think that jumping in and helping is the right thing to do, there are others that only wished they had helped sooner. We learn from our mistakes, and anyone that has been doing this for any amount of time should know this.

I am glad that the duckling is doing great. Above all, that is the most important thing here anyhow. Now, we need to think about some names..

Everyone is a beginner at some point. I'm a beginner now. No matter how much I seek out information, I know there will be something I do now that I won't do when I'm more experienced.

NOBODY should be made to feel bad because they tried to do the right thing and made a mistake. Tia's heart was in the right place, and she really tried to get help, and I'm sure ALL OF US ON THIS THREAD have learned this lesson (less painfully than Tia).

I have empathy for her, and for everyone who tried to help but didn't do the right thing in the end.

I am not saying I don't feel for tia. I know she was only trying to help. I'm just saying jvls did

not post trying to make it sound like an attack. My own personal opinion, it didn't sound like an attack.

But we all see things differently, I guess. Tia, we are not trying to make you feel bad, or dumb for helping.

I promise you, we are not. But next time, wait a bit longer before you make the decision to help. As it

is very dangerous, and next time, you might not be as lucky. Glad to hear he is doing better.
