I'm so glad you're safe! I did have to laugh though because I don't carry a purse, I leave my phone in my truck, and then it's on silent or vibrate. I have my students trained to ask me where my phone is before we walk out. The front office will call on the overhead and my Principal will tell me to go find my phone because my son called the office and said I wasn't answering!

Yogi, what a awful day. I know you were scared out of your wits. We had bad weather here in MS most of the day but to my knowledge nothing like what you had.
That cell phone thing is just a woman thing I think.
We have the phone in case WE need it. My DH is always asking me why I have a phone when he can never reach me on it. It is usually locked in my car or on vibrate or silent. I keep my money and debit card in my back pocket, my phone is usually on my car seat and my purse is on the floorboard of my car and my wallet is under my seat.
After hearing your story I will try to do better.
So glad ya'll are all ok.

Glad you are safe!! Gots to be very scary. I must admit, I love how you tell a story!! My DH never answers his cell phone!! Drives me nuts. Keep telling him he better pray there never is an emergency cuz he'll be up poop creek. Guess I'll take this cold miseravle weather over a tornado. Keep safe...
