In fact...if it is that warm...adding heat, you are most likely making them uncomfortable...turn off the heat.

Up here in North Fl it will be in the teens tonight. The only ones I am worried about are the seramas. I am putting lots of hay up around them and the roost so they can snuggle in the hay. We'll see. Last year we had a low of 17 and all the regular kinds of chickens did fine and my pens are open air pens (covered). I just blocked the wind with plastic on all but one side. My o shamo are new but I am just putting hay in for them to snuggle in also. Just 3 or 4 days ago we were in the 70's!

Thank all of you! I guess I won't worry about them tonight, just checked on them they seem to be doing fine. There cozzying up to each other on the bar!!!
