Oh how I heard you loud and clear!
We have 10.5 acres in the country. The entire front part of that borders the road. Country road (at least a paved one!!). I hate mowing the grass beside the road, because I have to spend an hour picking up the trash first! I've considered putting trash cans along the road.
Unfortunately two of the horse pastures are on each side of the house. Luckily we put the fence back further than I had planned, or that crap would end up in my pastures! I don't need a vet bill for a horse eating the styrofoam coolers, beer cans, etc. And yes, I have a stupid horse that would eat it!
At the place we use to board our horses, people would throw pumpkins, watermelons, etc into the pastures. Luckily the horses loved eating those things, but not one person ever asked me if it was OK, or let a note there, etc. I wish I could have caught whoever was doing it!
BTW, my horses all love watermelon, cantilope, apples, pumpkins, squash, etc. Two of them HATE carrots though!
