It's official, I can't wait anymore I'm going to plant inside

doesn't look like any more are sprouting so I took the saran off and have put a fluorescant light over them. I had raised the bulb that I was using for heat last week and the temp went down to the high 70's, not sure what temps if any I'll get from this single fluoescant bulb.
Looks like you got a good start!

Neat!

I used some newspaper cups, some egg cartons and some store bought seed trays. I've got a good start going but some just aren't making it- even in the green house. I may have started mine way too early. Live and learn. :)

I'm going to try some toilet paper roll cups tonight.

have fun!

I didn't like using tp rolls they didn't hold a lot of dirt that's why I went to newspaper. They soak up water better also.

I spoke way too early. They are all coming up now. I have tons of baby veggies and flowers! They're popping up from all my crazy containers! Yay!

I've done the same with paper, and plastic seed cups. Even used a plastic covered cake pan to start some marigold seeds. All are starting to come up and will soon need to be transplanted. Weather here is typical michigan, almost 50 yesterday, today mid 20's with snow.

i have filled the seed cups with my non soil mixture as the sprouts have grown and can't believe how much and how fast they grow. They are under a flouresant fixture today and are doing very well

cucumbers

onions

marigolds

the last picture in the above post was planted with marigold seeds on tuesday 3-12-13 when I looked at them this morning some had sprouted already. I have a 25watt light bulb over the egg carton seed tray i'm using and the temp stays at 78 degrees.

Last week I junk picked about 100 6in clay pots, and used some of them to transplant my tomatoes and cucumbers. I can't believe how fast they have grown since putting them in a bigger pot. They have almost doubled in size.
