It's Official...

My silver peacock already dropped his train and the black shoulder just started to drop his and my purple pied hen just kicked into laying gear egg every other day like clockwork. I'm done hatching guineas have 15 dozen to hatch over next 2 weeks

Ok so my egg count was off a little when I put the 30+ eggs into the hatcher on Tuesday (oops). I had the eggs split up between 2 turner racks because I had Turkey and Silkie/Showgirl eggs in there and it was pretty crowded, so 18 eggs got left in the incubator in the other rack on accident.... until I walked by the incubator today and saw a hatched (and dry/fluffed) keet riding a tilting/moving egg tray, ack!!! LOL. So my hatch was pretty decent sized one this time... 44 keets as of about 4-5 hours hours ago.

Poor quality pic, (nothing beats those bucket pics!), but you get the general idea.

My Peacock is now dropping his train too... sigh. Such a short season, after such a LONG wait, lol. I have 11 fertile eggs developing in the Dickey now, and I just set 11 more (that should be fertile as well)... so my Peafowl hatching season is turning out way better than I expected, can't complain one bit.

Luckily for me I just sold 20 dozen Guinea eggs to a friend, or I'd be setting those too (even tho I said I was done, lol)... Those dang Dickey incubators really make it hard for us hatch-o-holics not to set every egg possible, lol.

400
so peeps is this a pearl or brown or cinnamon what off is the solid white belly like semi pearls

That's a Brown. I'd say male, it's kind of light, but... the shade of brown can can vary due to bloodline, not just because of sex (in my flocks my Hens are always darker, and I have and hatch Browns from 2 separate bloodlines). The wide center head stripe, with 2 sets of narrow stripes is what indicates it will be fully-pearled.

The Dickie hatched 7 dozen first round of using it thank heavens I sold them all in one day.
Are you hatching in the Dickey, or in the Leahy? I can't imagine 7 dozen keets in the bottom hatching tray in my Dickey, yuck what a mess, lol.

And where are the pics of this giant hatch???? Sheesh.
