Thanks for the belly laugh, I needed that today and what a visual you provided. I'm that way with spiders that surprise me so I can relate.

I love domestic rats & breed them as pets but I get where your coming from. I hate using posions but if the snaps traps dont work... anyways I was wonderin gif these smileys would work

Wolf Queen, I must admit that once they are dead and not charging at me with their little rat fangs bared, they are kinda cute. I understand why people keep the domesticated ones as pets. The wild ones ook me out though. And they have become a nuisance around the coops. So off with their little heads!!!! BWAAHAAHAAA!!!
(I like the smiley with the barracaded wall. That's what I feel like. The invasion has happened and I am defending the kingdom.)

The death count currently stands at 14. Two more are mostly dead. I am walking wide circles around them in case they momentarily revive.

I've had them darn rats here since they moved the shed across the road from me, mine are weird though, never seen a two tone rat unless it was a pet, but my electric fence water tank combo killed 4 of them brown and white ones last year.
I had to wire my fence around the paddock because my husbands horse Jack eats my fences when he gets bored, and right oiver the tank is where they crawl up from their hole, well they must have hit the wire got shocked off the 2x6 and fell in the stainless steal water tank, and drowned. I can't imagine a low impedance fence charger would kill them.

Last year I had a small mouse infestation and at the same time inherited a couple of Bengal Cats. I have never seen two animals make faster work of a rodent population than those two did. In no time flat there were no mice around whatsoever. Come to think of it I never saw another rat after they came to stay either.
