I've got a baby! make that 10! corrected - make it 15!

I'm on day 21, and have 1 hatched out - 2 more with pips that I can see and plenty of chirping.

The first out (3:00 - close to it) was an easter egger (dad is a bard rock) egg!

#2 (6:00 pm) - came from a white egg - he's all yellow that I see (white leghorn momma with a bard rock roo - I think)! The kids and I watched this one unzip the last half of the egg and crawl/fall/jump out!

I'm so excited - so are my kids!

These are the eggs from HowlingWoodsFarm (one of the great BYC members in Maine) (the momma's and dad - 2-Blk Australorps, 2-Barred rock pullets,1-Dominique 1-barred rock cockerel, 4-brown leghorns,3-white leghorns, 8 EE girls,& two BLRW pullets)

okay - so now I understand how this can be so addicting!

The little one is so cute and he's flopping all over the place and I am worried he/she's gonna hurt themselves!

okay so at 1 am - 2 more decided to hatch on out - Woke me up -

We are up to 4 babies -

#1 - ee/br mix black & silver baby

#2 - leghorn/br mix - this one is all yellow from what I can see

#3 - leghorn/br mix - this one is dark - it's still drying so hard to see much else yet

#4 - ee/br mix - another dark one

1 ee egg and 1 leghorn egg are pipped - the other 19 are being quiet, but I know be patient!

Hubby and DD said they are too loud - and just asked when will they stop peeping - so I closed the door so they couldn't hear them!

I've gotta go back to bed myself now, gotta get up in a couple of hours (ugh) for work.
