I've had enough, I'm taking my neighbor's dog to the pound- update

glassparman, don't think I didn't want to for a few minutes last night. He's not a bad dog though, and I really think he could thrive in the right environment. Now if he'd actually hurt one of my animals, we'd be having a very different conversation right now.

Our neighbors let their chihuahua run loose even while they were at work all day. He moved in with us.

I'm proud of you for doing the right thing, and now hopefully this dog will have a better life.

It really makes my heart sad to see animals not cared for. Chances are probably really good that this family will never even check the pound. If they have that much crap going on in their life, they won't even miss him.

I do it every time I have a dog hanging around my house. If I wanted a dog I'd have one. I don't mind a little chicken poo...but a big steamy pile of dog poo sets me off....especially if I step in it!

I don't care what kind of dog it is...big or little....that poo stinks!!

Thanks guys! I'm feeling better about my decision by the minute. I'm not far from the house he came from and still haven't heard anyone calling for him. As far as I know, they haven't even noticed that he's gone. I'm hoping that the owner is at a place where she sees that I did her a favour. Too many people have asked her to get rid of the dog and she always has an excuse why her deviant, adult kids won't let her. I really doubt she'll pay the charges to get him out. It's only $25 + $5/day, but she'll have to pay that $5 for the remainder of the quarantine period. I don't see it happening. The dog is very adoptable. I'd really like to see him in a nice family home. Even the woman at the pound agreed, he's too cute to not be adopted.
