I have used Ivermectin on birds... pigeons, for many years in the past. But we did not give it for lice, (for which we dusted with carbola, which was like sevin.) We gave Ivermectin to combat round worms. But there are better easier roundworm treatments now for poultry. We put it in their water. Kept them in the coop. It is toxic. It is not for lice I am pretty sure.
You would not want to use what is essentially, a "systemic" poison when you are talking about birds that produce breakfast. Topical and environmental preventatives for lice or other parasites.
