Durvet Ivermectin Paste for Peafowl Lice

Hey there, I have two young peacocks who are absolutely writhing with lice on their heads as I’ve identified, I was wondering if using “Durvet Ivermectin Oral Paste 1.87% (apple flavored)” would be safe for them? If that’s alright, I do also need the safest dose per pound for them. It’s 91mcg per lb (200mcg/kg) - Please tell me if I shouldn’t be using this at all (Or if it’s of course too unsafe, or the wrong product), as the answers I searched for were pretty broad, thanks

Ivermectin and Permethrin products are safe for most any birds. Permethrin would probably work well but if you want to use the Ivermectin you already have, here's a post by @casportpony with dosage. Good luck, and welcome to BYC!

I recommend using only Permethrin dust or spray. You're going to have to treat the inside of the coop, nest boxes etc...you cant do that with Ivermectin.
