Yeah, I would let her. After I see the video I will probably suggest that you pluck all feathers 1 inch away from the sound edges. You will want to pluck them in the direction they are growing and you need to make sure you don't fear the skin. Once all of the feathers are removed you will be able to inspect the wound not thoroughly.

From there you will want to remove dead tissue, maggots, dirt, and debris.

She looks like and alert, that's good.

Shes been super alert, I feel like she's a fighter.

When I do it I sit with them in my lap or on a towel on the counter. I pluck one feathers a time and give them breaks if it stresses them too much.

That does complicate matters, but it's not necessarily a death sentence.

Alright. I don't know if I feel comfortable enough with skin being pulled off with the feathers. I think I'm going to contact a rehabilitation center through a vet. She's shaking and seems to be in a lot of pain
