Hey everyone!!!
Wow, it seems like forever since I posted on this thread.
The whole summer has gone by, and it's already the first day of Fall. Hard to believe it!
What's even more hard to believe...is Ivory has grown SO much bigger and changed so much!
There's lots to catch you all up on him. He's all grown up! (Well, for the most part, anyway
)
First of all, Ivory is exactly 237 days old! Which is about...33.8 weeks, or 7 (almost 8) months!
He has gotten bigger, and he has definitely become more "rooster-like"...He will try to mount my hand if I put it near him, and he will sometimes dance around my feet when I first let him out in the morning, etc.
But overall, he's not aggressive and he's still the same old sweet rooster who follows me everywhere, loves treats, and loves to forage with his flock.
BUT, as of right now he NEVER crows and he has never mounted any of his pullets. He still lives with the three young EE pullets, who are about 3 months old now and getting ready to lay soon. And Pumpkin, the small Bantam Cochin hen, is still with them.
But that's right, he has never mounted them. Granted, they are still kinda small. And yes, he hasn't crowed since before he got sick.
Before he had gotten sick, he did start crowing, but after he got sick he never crowed again. He never does right now. It's weird. I'm kinda sad, because I love hearing rooster's crowing in the morning, and it would be such a wonderful thing to hear him greet me every morning.
But, I guess he just doesn't have any urge to crow. He never tries, either.
But anyway, he's doing great, and so are his flock members!
Here is one picture I have so far! I will hopefully add more later!
