Candled tonight! Out of 10 that I put in the 'bator on Sunday, I can see 9 little heart beats (going very fast!). One looks like it never developed at all :( And the other 3 I have in there I had put in there on the 14th, but they are looking like they are coming along nicely.

Glad to hear that they are coming along nicely!

Love that Buff closest to your face. I have several in my bator now. They are sweet, and fun. I have a funny series of photos of one of my past BO's that was not playing with the dog, but the dog thought so. I'll see if I can find them.

I love the last photo. I don't have either the hen or the dog any longer. :( I am pretty sure I'll get another hen from all of these eggs ready to go into lock down next week. :)
I love my Honey. She is so sweet. I have a younger Lavender Orpington. She is beautiful but very shy so far. I want to get more Orpingtons.

I put 12 RIR's, 3 Cream Legbar and 4 BCM's in bator #1 last Friday. The RIR's were shipped during the polar vortex blast many of us had. Of those, 2 were clear and 4 had the "ringer" (as my hubby calls it). All the rest were thriving. Just to err on the side of caution, I left the clear ones in to see what may develop. I will check again in a few days when I candle the bator #2. All in all I'm a pretty happy chick. YAY..

Next weekend I will start to get the brooder ready. I love doing that. Its like decorating a baby nursery. bbbaaahhahahah Is there such a thing as having a "chick" shower for the little ones? Wonder what games it would involve??

Imagine the gifts, eggs turners, water dishes, bags of chick start...

It's not upside down. It's at a 45 degree angle. If you cut out the bottom of the carton, they'll just sit there.
I was just joshin ya. It's one of the pictures my eyes couldn't orientate. Is that the right word?
