I know, not a hatch a long topic but part of the whole waiting for fuzzy butts so figured I would fit it in here

I'll get pictures when the Momma lets me, but by my count we have 12 wiggly baby bunnies...

  hope they all make it

Day 19.

It is frustrating that two days before hatch day the eggs look exactly like they did on day one. I know they are about to hatch - but they don't seem to know.

Then we are trying quail for the first time next week. Going to be interesting.

I have to wait before I can hatch my quail

. My parents don't think its a good idea to pay money for eggs with the chance of a snow storm putting out the power and killing the eggs. So I'll be putting in some of my flocks eggs in again on January 28 so they can hatch on my birthday (I'll have my 16th birthday party with baby chickens

).

off topic, video I just watched "True Facts About The Owl" I laughed so hard watching this, the guy's tone of voice is just hilarious to me.....
they are birds of prey basically the opposite of a chicken...
he does show an owl eating a mouse and a woodpecker so forewarning, probably for adults only, or at least screen it first.

I love all birds!!! they are so cute when they're little owlettes....

Oh man. I was sent 15 BO eggs. 15 are going into lock down tomorrow! And, 12 Rhodebar eggs were sent to me. 10 are going into lock down. Here's hoping my bator does as well during lock down.


Have to share something, that us older folks can appreciate. Thinking I may be the only oldie.. in here, but anyway, was at the store struggling to get the money out of my inside pocket of my purse. Took a while. I don't know why? I just find that some things take longer. The person behind me was smiling, and being so patient. I remembered then. Something I read about 10 years ago.
A lady that was behind an older woman. She was struggling with her purse, she could see that the woman was feeling embarrassed about taking so long. Then the woman that was standing behind the older woman had a thought. I hope when I reach that age, that people will be patient while I am the one taking a while in line. Boy, did that come to mind. My time had come. In fact, it came to mind just a couple of weeks ago too.

I just got back inside from putting it back with the others. It was closing one eye... had a bad feeling if I didn't put it back it might die overnight. It was moving around pretty good, but it had a little diarrhea, hope it will be ok. I think I'm going to check early this morning to see how it's doing. When I was putting it under mama she kept shifting around like she didn't want it under her.. I might check again soon just to be sure she didn't reject it
