Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

I think they do - I know our Bertha did - but sadly the one she tried to help got squashed in her eagernes to get it out of the shell. It was not viable. She was a brillient mom to the rest and held the record for the longest brood of 18 weeks so I do think it was an accident that she stood on the baby.

Good luck!!! I hope you get a good hatch.

I got mine from Lark Rise. I've been eyeing them for a year and I finally broke down and got them. Who did you get yours from?

Oh, I got them from a BYCer in Washington state... Not sure it's appropriate to say from whom but suffice to say I won't be buying from them again. :( I was so disappointed when the eggs showed up, but decided to set them anyhow. They were my Christmas present from my sister. She agreed to buy me chickens or hatching eggs for xmas.

Um hello guys, i just wanted to ask if a broody hen helps her chicks hatch or provides any help at all.
Hello to you..........

I'm sorry that happened... I can only say good things about Lark Rise. The eggs were well packed, the egg color was excellent, and all the chicks that hatched were really healthy and vigorous. They were hatching like popcorn on day 20. :)

I just put 23 more chicken eggs in my bator, one of them is small and green.
What other chicken breeds besides EEs and Ameraucanas la green eggs?

Nothing pure will lay green. Green is produced by crossing a blue egg gene with a brown egg gene. This makes Easter Eggers & (if using a dark brown gene) olive eggers.
