Somebody is a little too comfy and I think she/he needs to hurry up

It seems like they take forever! I always try to stay busy, for me, it's hard not to "help"

The little booger pipped last night and keeps breaking little pieces off and now all day just hanging out peeping and not hatching for me...........I just know as soon as I go to sleep it will be ready. I was gonna add more eggs before the others start pipping after my little one hatches but I can't, could get interesting since others are in bator upright waiting to move and new eggs just started cookin in there. Ugh!:barnie

It is very hard trying to know when to help or to let things be, I too have helped before sometimes it is for the best but not always, as long as our efforts are for the best, I feel it is ok. Look forward to the next it may be the one you save. I have wondered if I should intervene but I can see her and hear her so I will wait and hope.

Okay this has got to be the slowest hatch in history. We have been pipping and zipping for two days. She is chirping away but way too comfy in there. How about Pokey for a name?

You may have to assist... Check out Sally Sunshine's article on assisting a hatch, to be sure... is she not zipping & pecking the same spot? Is the membrane turning tan in color? The only thing you might have to do is stick a warm wet q tip to keep it moist.

I had to assist she was taking up the whole shell and now she is out and resting with a little stuck to her fuzz but boy does she look relieved.
