Hi so I recently got the janoel 12 incubater I haven't hatched any eggs in it just yet (I'm on day 5 and I see at least 4 that are fertile and alive) so I wanted to make an about chat

1 thing I've figured out is I can change it to fernheight by pressing the + and - button at the same time until it changes

I'm keeping my temp at 99.5 and humidity at 30-45%

Do you have a backup thermometer in your incubator?

I had a separate thermometer 2 degrees off so I'm not using it I tested the incubaters thermometer with a meat thermometer and my house thermometer

I have this incubator, too. You can get good hatches with it, but I have had a hard time keeping the temperature stable in it. There is quite a bit of temp fluctuation in my house, and it doesn't adapt well to that.

Mines pretty good about that I have some cloth wrapped around the sides but not in the front so I'm able to see them

I cover mine with a blanket. Not the air hole, but all around it. My temp fluctuates too. I've gotten 100% hatches with almost everything in it. I'll never get a different incubator. It's the best. IMO

Well spent my money well then and it's a great price
I've been looking into bigger incubaters (holds like 20 eggs) but if this one works good I'll just get a bunch of them

Here's a picture of mine. If you put in the hatching tray, you can fit a ton of eggs! These literally all hatched except for one. To turn them I just put my hands on them real gentle and roll my hands in a circle. I just make sure the pointy ends aren't sticking up or anything. 20190726_111522_HDR.jpg

Could you turn the incubater side to side or no (without opening it

I did two layers and just wrote on the hatching ones not to turn. I had 2 day old duck eggs, 17 day old duck eggs, 3 day old guinea eggs and hatching guinea eggs. I thought it was amazing. There were 27 eggs
