Well both lots of mine are ment to be here on Thursday so should I let them rest over night or should I try and put them in so they're as fresh as possible as I've read both augments for and against and it just confused me more. looks like we will be hatching together after all :)

I, too, have heard conflicting things. With my Black Copper Maran eggs (only ordered eight), I let them sit 24 hours. The seller I purchased from somehow managed to get the eggs to me all the way from Missouri, in two days, with only one detached air cell. So I didn't worry too much about how old the eggs were. I don't know what the risks are about putting them right into the incubator. I guess the factors might include whether or not they have detached air cells and how cold they are when you receive them. My personal preference is to let them sit at least 8 to 12 hours before putting them in. If I were to pick up locally, however, I probably wouldn't let them sit and would put them into the incubator right away.

Either way, let me know when you get your eggs and whether or not you're going to let them rest, and for how long! I'll have to make it a point to be ready and put mine in, too!

What can you see them moving?
OOOOOH YEAH! They're about a week older and much more developed. But those eggs are really, really dark... but maybe I'll try to capture a clip anyway. It's like their swimming around, cursing at me to turn the obnoxious light off. It's pretty fascinating.
