Candled the eggs set last Monday...30 in the cabinet and 7 in the mini. All were looking like this or close...
Most are silkies and 4 jubilee, 7 buff and 6 crele orpingtons. Weight loss seems ok. Some eggs higher..some lower.

Mine are the same way with weight loss. I'm hoping it all evens out as it gets closer. I'm not too concerned as my weights are not much off of what they are supposed to be so I think my humidity is at a good place. I'm still nervous about humidity during lockdown though. I am almost certain my 9 that didn't make it were still alive until lockdown and I had the humidity too low for them.

I just realized tonight that tomorrow I will be in the single digits as far as how many days until lockdown (9 days). I am so excited! I told hubby we'd only hatch this 2nd time and that would be it for a while (until we lose some chickens or ours stop laying) but it's so addicting!! If I could convince hubby I can sell the chicks I hatch do you think he'd let me keep doing it??

It is addicting! Convince the hubby you need an incubator and more eggs!!!

I equate it to being a kid and waiting for Santa. Except it's longer than a day! Lol

I am going with what the breeder hatches at 55 & 65... It's all trial and error!

@nab for lockdown day 18; you will need to increase your humidity. Do you have a plan to get water into your incubator if it needs more after you lockdown without opening up the incubator? Ideally, for me the incubator locks down on 18 and you don't open it til 22.

Of course monitor it until then when you need to add water before lockdown. Soooo excited for you!

The only way I can add water to the Brinsea mini advance is lift the top. From what Ive read, the BMA recovers humidity quickly. Hope that's true. I may run a humidifier in the room too as our humidity is low in the house in general. I don't have a hydrometer so I guess I'll be winging it on there. Hope I don't regret it. I chose the BMA because it was a "set it and forget it" type thing and people seem to get great results.

I can't wait for the weekend! :D

Woke up to my first chick this morning, a cute little brown EE with a smidge of feathers on its legs! Not who I was expecting to hatch first, but I'll take it! My little Silkie is still in there, hanging out and there are at least 4, maybe 5 more eggs pipped! C'mon little chickies :fl

Forgot you had the adv...I had to open mine once to put water in the wells on the last hatch. It ran out on day 20. There was no one pipped so, I don't think I jeopardized anything at all. Added water that was 100 degrees also. I really really like the adv. I don't think I will ever use it for large eggs again...it is perfect for silkies! I have silkies in there right now on day 7.

I think you will do just fine! Can't wait to see your pics!!!
