Good ideal. Comparing hatch rates of natural and artificial.
Day 4! Looking really good in almost every egg in there.
Fingers crossed they're all good eggs.
And just found out that someone else who bought some eggs from me to incubate has candled her eggs and they have veins. That really makes me feel hopeful.
Collecting eggs now to start mine on Wednesday.
I found a second turner (left over from my old incubator that I sold 10-15 years ago.
I'm storing eggs there until I have enough to fill the incubator.
It is a great feeling knowing that someone else is buying and hatching your eggs.
I've sold a few but never really know the results from the hatch. Had a couple tell me though they had good hatches.
Ooh that looks nice. I'm going to try to hold off until day 7 but I cave every time who am I kidding!
I know, seriously. I guess I will sell off any Bantams I hatch. I worry I won't be able to tell them apart until they start laying.
That is looking right on target for day 4. You are well on your way as a momma hen. I guess that comment makes me a daddy hen.
Congratulations and welcome to the hatching world. It is fun and gets a little crazy sometimes. Have fun.
5 days now, and no weird smells coming out if the bator yet so I assume all is okay.
Going to try candling at day 10.
I'm on day 4. I am holding strong on not candling. Here's my eggs.
