Where do you find 100 watt light bulbs? I've looked everywhere and can only find 72 watt.[/quote]

My local wal mart carries 90&100watt colored flood lamps. I perfer the red but have seen good results with the dark blue as well. My lowes carries ther lower wattage flood lights and TSC carries a 2 pack of red flood/heat bulbs for only 7.99 right now! Hope you can find some to suit ya. Merry christmas to everyone!

My incubator is humming along, temp has been steady at 99.5 since yesterday evening, according to the mercury thermometer it came with.
Just testing it out now.
Will be picking up two new thermometers when I go into town today and a hygrometer.

Your RIR out of BO sound like good ones. I've read from other posts here on BYC they they are excellent layers that may set also.

Got any pictures of them?

Here is a picture of them. It has been very wet here but I hope you can see them okay.

Set 36 barnyard mixed eggs on the 24th! My first hatch, figured I'd get used to the incubator before spending bigger $$$ on hatching eggs.

Candled (day 3) and can totally see veins in almost every egg i tried! Super neat for a complete newb. Others were darker brown so I'll try again in a few days.

I love mixed breed chicks, sometimes you wind up with done if the coolest colors.

It's probably a good ideal to get used to the incubator before getting rcoebsive eggs.

I myself will not buy rxiensive eggs anymore. Paid good money fir some and had the worst hatch rate ever in them. Three out if 17 eggs, they did send extra eggs but out if the 17 eggs sent only 11 were even fertile.

Have 18. Will set those, plus whatever i gather today, tonight. Blizzard coming in tomorrow. T'is the season.

Set all the eggs! Actually that's a good number.

I can't hardly tell on my eggs, it's my eyes though. Sometimes my son-in-law can see the veins. I usually wait until day ten though

The very light cream colored eggs were super easy to see.
