Ok guys.. we had a power outage for about an hour here.. now that it’s back on my humidity has shot up to 94%!!?! What the heck! I have zero water in the incubator as our humidity tends to run around 45-55% on its own. HELP!

Are you in lockdown? If not than put your hand in, 94% would feel tropical, if you cant see any signs of condensation i would say its a malfunction. Do you not have a seperate hygrometer in the bator?

Yes. Definitely.

Thanks guys! It’s now back down to 50% so I think it must have had an issue from the power turning off and then coming back on again..

I will be picking up a separate hygrometer tomorrow! Don’t want to deal with this kind of stress again, it’s bad enough worrying about the power going out lol!

You need a hygrometer inside your incubator. All the readings from an incubator whether they're new or old, are faulty.

Make sure to calibrate it too. There's directions on Google on how to do it. Calibrate the hygrometer before you put it in the bator.

Hopefully you have a separate thermometer too inside the bator. If not I'd get one.

I really want a Friday hatch, how do you count the days, do you forget the day you put them in, then I could put them in today...I'm getting antsy now I've got my eggs sitting here, still fresh, fourth day after lay, so I could wait. Please help!

You don't count the first day because you have to wait 24 hours for it to be a full day.

If you want a Friday hatch, put them in early on Friday morning. Put them in at midnight...

I’d do Friday at noon.

put them in on a Friday, they hatch three fridays later. If you put them in tonight at midnight, you will probably have them start hatching on a Thursday.
