because my stepfather set them for no reason and doesn’t want to give his friend bantams.I’m going to set on the 6th after adding a hygrometer to my incubator. A majority of the eggs will be coming from a pullet who has been laying for about a month. Is that a good idea? I had a bad time last month with my hatch and I won’t even attempt it with those eggs if they are too “young”. Look forward to seeing the results of everyone’s hatch! Not too many January hatchers, I see. I’m collecting some BC eggs now and I’ll set them on 1/4 or 1/5 most likely. That would be a hatch date of 1/25 or 1/26. Maybe someone else will join in and give the folks a little more January hatch action!
Pics!2 more hatched for a total of 3 so far and 2 pips. Waiting on 2 more to pip from this group. Then I have 5 on day 18 I think it is.
I’ve heard not to use eggs from a young pullet. She’s been laying a month though. I’ve used young pullet eggs and had very successful hatches.I’m going to set on the 6th after adding a hygrometer to my incubator.
