January 2023 Hatch-a-long

I’ve heard not to use eggs from a young pullet. She’s been laying a month though. I’ve used young pullet eggs and had very successful hatches.

I read all kind of opinions last night, and one was saying to wait until they’re 2, and one that said they do fine. I’ve hatched from hens under two and I did ok. We’ll see what happens

Even better, the PO held them for me. A very nice mail carrier just called to make sure I had them. I had been waiting around, so I hopped right in the truck.

Here goes nothing…

Time to check for cracks, and let them rest. Plan to set tomorrow.

Tried a photo session with the babies. It is hard. Lol. But this is what I got. One of the babies has huge cheeks!!! One is a light blue with a light spot and a dark spot on its head.

That is great that they held them for you!!!! Better than bouncing in a truck all day. Good luck. I can't wait to order mine, but thinking maybe the end of Feb.
