I got my batch of eggs for 43. free shipping, I got some I requested, and some that were her choice, but I am happy with these. I actually only ordered them because they were one state over, I could even probably drive out to her place to pick them up, if I was staying by her town, which I do sometimes. It is about 5hrs away one way.

I've ordered from that seller before. Good experiences.

I put my 3 eggs due this week under a broody.

I miss my broody :( She disappeared this summer. Best case scenario is she moved in with my neighbors' chickens. I'm hoping my Silkie/EE or bantam Cochins hen will go broody. Still too young to tell. What's yours? Has she raised clutches before?

Mine is a Blue Isbar, she is about a year old. I have the 3 eggs besides my bought eggs. The incubator they were in needed micro management, I wanted to free myself of their hatch and focus on my other eggs. She has not hatched eggs yet, but faithfully sat on phoney eggs for a few weeks. I may want to use her to brooder those eggs she hatches too. It has warmed up outside too!

Here are some pictures of my Splash and Blue Copper Marans hens. They started laying this week! I also have 2 chicks I hatched late last year from eBay eggs. One hen and one roo. Pics were never intended to share. I just snapped a few so I could identify who started laying.

Some of my favorite chicks hatched from eBay eggs. They're bantam Cochins. I think they hatched in October. So so fun. I have to be very careful when I feed them as they get underfoot constantly. They hatched roo heavy, 5 roos 3 hens, but I love them too much to part with them. I'm waiting till spring. I'll see if any get attitudes and go from there. I love me a chill friendly rooster.

I went to the coop, and BI broody was on the 3 eggs, and another bantam hen who is always very broody had snuck in the nest and stole an egg, I gave her an egg to sit on in diff nest, and the blue isbar broody tucked the stolen egg under the bald patch on her chest. They will not "fight-fight" they are not that kind of hens.

I'm not sure if anyone has any eggs due a similar time to me but I'm on day 17! I've unplugged my auto-turner so they have plenty of time to position themselves. I'll be candling tonight before lockdown. What's the bald patch on hens for?
