77 horses: Youve got your chick, Ivory. I have a feeling that chick will be a world traveler, but keep it warm at 95 degrees F 1 wk, then decrease 5 degrees each week (considering the weather). Sometimes they come out of the egg running, but often they need a lot of rest like babies, with short times up, then sleep again; they usually look stronger at the end of the day or the next. Happy trails to you!
Thanks save the favs!
Little Ivory is still a bit wobbly and can't walk very well (more like wattles and sometimes falls over lol) for some reason. Doesn't have splayed legs and her toes/feet are completely normal. I guess she's still getting the hang of walking on her own and/or she's still a bit tired.
One thing I noticed she does also is so cute! She seems to have imprinted on me as being her "mother hen"!
If I'm not near enough to her, she will start peeping like crazy. Then when she sees me, she will come wobbling/running over and will try to snuggle under my hands.
She complains when she's not getting enough attention and she likes to peck at my fingers.
Great, she's already spoiled and it's only her first day after hatching.
Thanks save the favs!
