I’m going to try and hatch again this month, it might just be my favorite thing to do now lol
I also need more hens out of 6 chicks only 1 is a girl

So I candled my shipped Bielefelders last night. Eliminated 3 out of the 21 sent. The rest look great! Two that were no good had blood rings and the third was clear. When they got here, two seemed to have wobbly aircells, so I will assume those were the blood rings. Can't wait for the 28th!

I have no idea what this egg is up to, but it's neat! I'm holding everything still. If you turn up your brightness you can see something happening in the middle of the egg. It was very active under the light.

Just did a candle on some of the eggs it’s day 4 today so I wanted to check to make sure at least some had development and so far so good on day 7 I will check all eggs

Asked around a LOT, candled four times to be sure, waited a day and candled again. I think I'm pretty confident in my assessment now! Five are for sure alive, there's eight I can't tell for sure, but I'm leaning towards yes until further development. Four are most likely to be dead, keeping a little longer to be sure. Two I'm pretty sure have blood rings, but they could be veins so I'm keeping a few days longer. We're on day 13, one more week to go!

I candled my turkey eggs last night that are due feb 1st..... some of these sat on the counter for more than a week in dec..... I have movement in all! WOW I expected to lose some because of the cold when collecting or because they sat on the counter for so long, but so far so good..... now just 2 more short weeks and........ wait where am I going to put them? Guess I better build another brooder
