Candled 6 ...hard to tell but did see veins in at least 3 so somethings growing! Will do all at day 10.

.got a $100 Lowes gift certificate for xmas from my kids !!..I was OVER thirlled..Never thought they would do that as they dont like to encourage my chicken addictions(both think chickens are dirty and diseased)

They think it will be for pathway lights....Sorry!....more coops,more hinges more wood WHOOHOO!
Geez... my chicken addiction continues.SOO big time.

BBS hatch # 1 in lockdown day 19....

Bored waiting until the action hopefully tomorrow sometime.some star cracks.Due 29th but...come on chickies...

She is only 4 weeks old in the picture so too young to lay. Not sure what her coloring will turn out to be because it changes from week to week. She started out as a pure yellow chick and when her feathers started coming in they were frizzled and speckled like that. That is one of the neat things about Serama, no matter what color the parents are you never know what color the chicks will end up being.

half way threw my incubation. I candled to see how the eggs are doing. the 3 larger eggs are doing great one is further along but was put in the incubator at the same time. Guess it just shows that they grow at their own rate
I had 6 eggs, 3 large and 3 small. 2 of the small eggs had ring of death, 1 wasn't fertile. But 3 is good still. A nice small number. They will get lots of individual attention and hopefully all be girls LOL

okay had a hen go broody. I moved the 3 eggs from the incubator to under her hope she does good they are due next monday.
I put 6 new eggs in the incubator. that will be due in 3 weeks. YAY for more babies

Candled my second batch of BBS Orp eggs 12 day along.Due Jan 9th
Saw movement in about 4 or 5. Breeder said they were "UBBER FRESH"
The last batch was in the mail 7 days ..!!Thought i would get none but SUPRISE..got 3.
Thiis second batch in the mail 5 days ...4 or 5 thier was movement..last night
.So didnt seem to change viability the extra 2 days in the mail
Hard to say what it would be if they were 3 days in the mail...... as USPS says theyll be..... but oh well
Stll shipped... 3. is good as far as im concerned Any over 2 is pure gravy
