JANUARY ...OUR FIRST HATCHING OF 2013 ANYONE? come join!!

Well candled the last eggs i will lhave hatch its 10 days ..WO and LOs...8 each...sad to say i only saw 3 that looked promising and NONE Were white BOOOO!!! WAs so looking forward to white.Orps!

I have 3 eggs on lock down due either tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully they hatch When they went on lock down there was a lot of movement in the eggs.
Can't wait to see what they look like, they are mixed breed.

So 35 eggs went into lockdown and 22 hatched. Sadly 1 died and another has leg issues that hopefully can be corrected.

So lucky, I can't wait for mine to hatch. Hoping they do fine. today there was construction on the road near our house. Our whole house was vibrating for a few hours I'm hoping it didn't effect the eggs at all but who knows if it will have. They'll be doing this construction all week. They have bad timing.

I'm on my second day of incubating now! But I'm only incubating seven (That is all my incubator can hatch at a time)!
I can't wait till they hatch!!

Set another 16 Araucana eggs yesterday so I am still in. I have Blue/Barred Rock eggs coming tomorrow so they will go in as soon as they rest.

The Golden Comet and Production Red were set to help the RSL x RSL line along. They are great layer (RSL), but this line is not very long lived, so I trying to see if infusing some PR and GC blood will get it going along a little better.

I have 7 Barred Rock x Lohman Browns in the Incubator right now!!

As you can see I usually set big and hope for a least 1/2 to hatch.
I also spread my setting out so that I can get my stock rotated so that I have room to put them.
