Just set 18 black Jersey Giants! Hope these do well (fingers crossed) One may be damaged from shipping. Looks like the yolk may be floating a little too freely.

Good Luck!!I set eggs - my first hatch ever! - on 12/30, so we're going into lockdown tomorrow. 11 bantam buff cochin and one lone LF Lt. Brahma. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Don't turn them for a few days. It may help the yolks to settle.Just set 18 black Jersey Giants! Hope these do well (fingers crossed) One may be damaged from shipping. Looks like the yolk may be floating a little too freely.
What day are you on?I candeled my eggs last night, and I'm confused! Looks like all of them have air cell @ the wrong end??? Unless I am not seeing things right- the round or big end of the egg is where I saw chicks developing, and at the pointed end you can just see light going through- like the air cell looks. How can that happen with all of them? It's been years since I incubated eggs, but I don't remembr seeing this b4. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advise on what I should do- This is so upsetting!
Brooks I'm on day 10 with them. I did read something her on BYC that says is you candle from the bottom (pointed) end of the egg that it looks like mine are looking now. I am wondering if that is it- the eggs I was incubating last month I candeled from the side because that was how they laid in the bator & I didn't want to disturb them too much. I am using a different bator with these and they sit upright- which is why I candle from the bottom. What day are you on?
thank you!![]()
PugBug, I don't know anything about that, but I hope it goes well!
