I'll still be hatching buddies with ya'll too- yesterday I put in the choc. orp bantam eggs I ordered. Still have my eye on some basque eggs too- It's day 19 for my silkies, in a few days I'll have other eggs in lock down-

Here are the 2 fluffies that came over to my hand so they got the 1st photos - The second one was so cute, knew right away the surface was smooth & just scooted itself over to my daughter.(They were walking fine in the brooder)

So as of right now there are 18 in the brooder & 5 still in the bator sleeping before their next session of "get free!" Got a lot more pea combs than expected YAY

beards muffs adorable fluffness. 1all yellowish white(photo), 1 yellowish white w/ some sandy dots on it's lower back, lots of various dark ones, 2 salt n pepper looking ones(one in photo) orange(baby rir color) & I think that's it for chick colors but we all know that's going to change soon enough! Can't wait, going to be so hard picking out the ones I will end up keeping. more photos tomorrow!

My Ameraucana eggs are on day 19 too. I set more eggs on Thursday night. Looks like one of us will have to start a February thread.

Hey Brook want to thank you for putting me onto the ppswap like i needed a cheaper way to get eggs!!

.Starting my second bunch of eggs to put in Friday.My Genesis i guess i kbragged on them too much the temp at the reading is 100 buthe bottom temp is way lowr so iam upping it in incruments It IS going up
It is at 98.1 almost as high as the eggs are sitting now up on 2x2s Just hope the det temp it says on the read out is not the temp up by them as its 101.2
Hard to know what to do but another therm should be here in a day or 2.At least it cant jump over 101.The setting does keep it where you set it but i dont like 101.

10 pm.... ...hiked it up about 2 tenths to get it to over 98... went down to 97. GUGH Go figure.Bator says 100.4 Cant wait until this new hygro /.therm comes I think all of them are screwed up .I mght have to invest in the scientific glass ones really soon.
