I got some new Japanese Bantams. I’ve never had this breed in my life. They are black tailed white Japanese Bantams. A woman sold two clutches to me. One hatched on April 2 and the other hatched on March 28. The March’s one are 3 weeks old today. I just want to know if I have boys/girls. It takes patience but I don’t know if there different than other chicken sexing. Some breeds are different than normal and I want to know to know if they are difficult to sex or not. I need tips on this breed. Thank you!!

I don’t think they’re that hard to sex as they mature faster than, say, Wyandotte’s but I’ve only had a few so I’m not too sure

I just got two of these little cuties too! They are about four weeks old now, and very sweet. I've had a hard time finding information about sexing them as well, but I've heard that comb size in these birds are a huge indicator in sexing. Don't take my word for it as I have yet to determine it's accuracy for myself. I have seen photographs of these chicks when they are getting a little bit older, and comb size seems very apparent. Upon digging through the threads, I came across a woman who said she had become very good at sexing these chicks after they reached like 3 weeks of age. Maybe she will come to the rescue!

In these birds, I would assume that tail feathers would give it away at some point, just because of the difference in adults' tail feathers. However, this is just a speculation and I have no way of actually knowing yet.

I hope someone else can give you better and more accurate information! :)

Comb development in the young cockerels occurs much quicker than with the pullets. It'll be fairly obvious when you look at them who is a male and who isn't.
