Japanese Beetles

Hi all! So I have discovered my 7 girls ADORE Japanese beetles. They snarf them down as though they're candy. Great for the girls...and for me, since the bugs usually decimate my rose of Sharon plants each year. Plus they're just gross.

My 10 year old daughter gets a thrill out of clapping solo cups over the bugs to capture them, but it's tedious. That got me to thinking about bug vacuums (specifically made for sucking up critters...not a shop vac) to suck those bugs off my plants. Have any of y'all done anything like this before? If so, is there a brand that you recommend? Thanks a million!

Do a search for Japanese beetle traps - some people get a massive amount of them trapped and then freeze or dehydrate them for later use!
